A Crash Course in Collision Repair:
Click on any picture for full size.

Our
subject vehicle is a 2006 Toyota Corolla. It is hit in the front and rear. Also
not as apparent the right rear wheel is leaning in at the top. Both of the right
doors also have damage.

The
damage is documented and a thorough estimate is prepared.

The
car is hoisted and the underside is inspected. We find a bent axle. A thorough
estimate expedites the repairs so less time is needed.
The
car is disassembled and readied for the replacement parts. This car will need
repairs to both bumpers, a new fender, repair on the front door, a new rear door
and a new quarter panel. Also there is minor damage to both wheels, and the axle
as noted earlier.

The
Fender is replaced and the back glass is removed for access to the quarter
panel. The spot welds are drilled out so the old quarter can be removed.

The old quarter panel is removed and the new door is place on the
car so roper alignment of the new quarter panel can be guaranteed.

After
the New quarter panel is welded on the car is moved to our paint shop where it
is prepared and painted with Glasurit paint in our heated downdraft paint booth,
then baked to a durable finish.

After
the car is painted it is reassembled. The rear axle has been replaced and the
car is aligned on our Hunter 4 wheel alignment system. It will now be cleaned
and made ready for return to the customer.
